I choose to Make suveys for my research project. Im finding them to be a little bit harder than I thought to thing of questions for them.. I plan to hand out surveys to about 20 people to find out opinions about "text talk"some survey questions I have thought of are:
1. How much do you use acronyms in texts daily?
2. What Acronyns do you use the most? (ex) (lol, omg, wtf)
3. What contexts do you use these?
4. Do you think that Abriviating words will cause a lack of academic standard writing?
5.How do you feel about our younger generations association to text speak?
6. Can you correctly identify the meaning of various often used acrynyms, or do you belive they could be missinterpreted? Why?
...... I was also thinking of maybe posting a facebook event explaining my research and have everyone invited to the page have to only speak in text speak so I can visually watch how the conversations play out.
