The focus of my study is to determine if text-messaging lingo and acronyms has an ultimate effect on proper and professional grammar and writing.
Hypothesis: Text-messaging lingo and acronyms have a negative effect on the proper and professional grammar and writing for college students aging from 18 – 25.
Audience: College Students aged 18-25.
Sub-thesis: Does the earlier one starts texting affect the professional literacy?
Survey: When have you started text messaging?
Survey question to assess grammar while texting (both here and now and before)
Survey question to assess professional grammar (pathos approach)
Sub-thesis: Do phrases “your” “you’re” that are represented by the acronym “ur” have an effect on professional/proper grammar?
Based on results above, infer some type of explanation using the data for supporting the same issue with using the words, “their” “they’re” and “there”.
